Life isn’t without its challenges, and emotional struggles can impact our wellbeing and relationships. I offer a calm, supportive space where you can talk openly and be listened to without judgement.

These struggles may take many forms: stress, anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, or past experiences that continue to have an impact, and therapy can provide clarity and support as you work through them.

Sometimes it can feel hard to share feelings and experiences with friends or family, and that’s when speaking with a neutral, trained professional can make a real difference.

Taking the first step into counselling can feel daunting, but it is also a sign of strength. But with support you can begin to understand yourself and your difficulties with more clarity, recognise the things that are holding you back and explore different ways to make positive change.

My approach

I support adults through a wide range of life experiences and transitions. Over the years I have worked with charities, schools and within private practice. My approach is relational and person-centred, offering you space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace.

Therapy with me is collaborative and supportive; together we can gently explore what matters to you, develop greater self-awareness, and find new ways of moving forward.

I offer therapy in person in York, by phone, or online - so you can choose what feels most comfortable. An introductory telephone conversation is available before you decide to book a session.

I work with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, phobias, grief, difficulties with managing emotions, low motivation, and relationship challenges. Depending on your needs and goals, I offer short-term therapy for specific concerns as well as longer-term, open-ended therapy for deeper exploration and ongoing support.
